Yes! I actually posted about this on the blog… but I experimented and just mixed in some latex paint! It worked great! You can also grab some cement dye and paint it after it’s cured… much brighter and colors are a bit more limited.

Im thinking I would keep the pvc pipe. I grow a lot of hoya and would want to be able to remove them easily from the planter. I would definitely add a hole in the bottom. I will definitely try this at some point. Have you ever added colorant to your cement? I was thinking just enough black to give it an aged look…cool.idea! Thanks

Hi! I thought about that but wasn’t sure how to get the concrete into the balloon AND to keep the balloon perfectly spherical.
